Cosmoprof 2005: A Global Beauty Exhibition

This year’s event offers increased space and more exhibitors.

International visitors from every corner of the globe are expected to descend on Bologna, Italy for Cosmoprof 2005, a beauty event running from April 1-4. This year’s show—the 38th edition—features 10,900 square meters of extra exhibition space, bringing the total space to around 82,500 square meters.

The event hosts four major trade fairs simultaneously: Cosmoprof Hairdressing, Cosmoprof Beauty Salon, Cosmoprof Cosmetics Perfumes and Accessories, and Cosmopack.

Cosmopack, the packaging show featuring cosmetic packaging, machinery, contract manufacturing and raw materials, will occupy halls 19 and 20. The exhibition area has increased by 600 square meters this year, extending through pavilion 19A.
With the increase in show space, trade show organizer Sogecos was able to offer 300 new companies the opportunity to exhibit at Cosmoprof 2005. The increased show space also provides for better organization of the four trade fairs, and allows Sogecos the ability to dedicate more space at the show to news and innovation.

Several new country pavilions will also be introduced this year. Among them are Australia, Korea, Thailand, Russia and Poland. They will join traditional country pavilions France, Germany, U.S.A., U.K., Israel, Spain, China and Brazil.

“We are proud of welcoming such a huge number of foreign visitors and exhibitors, because this means that countries all over the world recognize the strategic importance of this fair for their economical, cultural and formative interests,” said Florio Terenzi, president of Italy-based Sogecos.

Last year’s show was a rousing success. Cosmoprof 2004 saw 10% increased attendance, with 132,267 visitors. Attendance from foreign visitors rose to 30,148, a 30% increase from the year prior. Attendees arrived from 40 different countries around the globe.

About 1,800 qualified companies exhibited, 900 of which were international. There were 276 Cosmopack exhibitors.

Tickets for Cosmoprof 2005 cost €23, but reduced rates are available for visitors who fill out a discount card. The card can be downloaded from the Cosmoprof web site, www.cosmoprof.com, or requested from [email protected].

Online ticket purchase is available for the show and can be purchased at the Cosmoprof web site. Visitors may purchase a maximum of 15 tickets each. Groups of 15 or more should contact Cristina Palla, Sogecos, at +39-051-5285852.
